Unit 4 feedback
Hello,
Unit three's "Interplay of Food & Health" website addition for the adolescence years was very well done. The images were explained well with captions and picked thoughtfully to embolden the information shared in the preceding paragraphs. I noticed an incorrect in-text citation however with the first paragraph, see here for easy tips on APA formatting.
The headings were well utilized to reflect our course assignment and help better organize the flow of the webpage. There was another incorrect in-text citation noted in the first few sentences, but easily and quickly correctable! In the paragraph regarding social media, it may behoove the group to utilize more citations as much of what was explained was expert opinion, not common knowledge. My group had points taken for first/second person language like we/our/you which was noted in some of the writing on your webpage as well.
The use of images, videos, and infographics used was awesome! I thoroughly enjoyed watching the Ted Talk and the YouTube video, great find. The WHO video was perfectly suited for the information you presented. Offering multimedia is an important tool in helping clients/patients integrate information, especially if it's health information which tends to have more jargon than other educational material. I really liked the "conclusion" section that was published entitled "Plan of Actions"- I thought that was a nice way to summarize. Well done!

Unit 4 feedback
ReplyDeleteHi Stephanie, great job on your addition to the class website this week. To begin I what I like to do is scroll through the website to see what stands out, i'm such a visual and hands on learner I always look for things that stand out. The colors and pictures that you and your team used all stood out for your topic this week. Thank you for highlighting risk factors of young women, this is not talk about enough especially now in the times where social media displays the most picture perfect bodies that are not realistic. This ultimately aids in the downfall of self-esteem, leads to eating disorders and affects mental health. Your graphics were very informative providing healthy habit tips, recommendations of vitamin and mineral intakes, and a plan of action! I love that the last photo on the site is of great representation that eating healthy doesn't always have to be salad and water, and having pizza is ok and well within a healthy maintained balanced diet. Your Ted talk video was very informative as well the, i would only recommend finding one that is a little bit shorter to keep interest in continuing to keep the reader engaged throughout. Captions on videos and images were well described for those that did have. Awesome work, I truelyy enjoyed!
